This is a great place to be if you are painting furniture as a business, are a curious hobbyist, or are just painting items for your home to save $$ (be careful that is how it all started for me).
I am excited to share this resource list with you! Most the items I found through trial & error. Others with countless Google Searches & asking too many questions at Home Depot.
I have made this list as comprehensive as possible. Do not feel like you have to rush to get every item tomorrow! I bought as the project need came up.
Working from my shop is generally a solo thing if you would like to be my virtual colleague, join our free private Whimsy and Wood Painters VIP Facebook group. Our hangout spot where you can ask questions, share your projects, and spend time with other painters & DIYers.

I use Amazon for EVERYTHING! It is so crazy convenient as a business owner that I can basically exist without ever leaving our homes! I recommend signing up for Amazon Prime for free shipping, expedited shipping options, and streaming movies while you work;). Cheaper than Post Mates and saves me so much time & money every year! I think I may cost Amazon money with the amount of shipping that I require.

Moving Furniture
Picking up new finds or delivering your finished piece to a client these are my must have supplies for moving furniture. Remember, don't overdue it when working alone. Large pieces require a partner to lift. Lift from your knees and not with your back. If you are in this for the long haul you risk injuries that can put you our of commission.
Repairing Furniture
These are the items I use most often when making furniture repairs. I may pop in and update this list from time to time with new gotta have it items that I find. This list does not take into consideration building replacement parts. I will be making my must have list for builders separately. Remember to follow all manufacturers directions and work at your skill level. I am not a tool expert. You can find classes at some home improvement stores and even at community colleges. Please email me if you have items that really need to be added to this list. I too am learning every day.

CLEANING Furniture
One of the biggest differences between an amateur and a pro painter it the work that comes before the painting. It is not glamorous, but it makes all the difference! These are the tools I use to get my piece clean and ready to be painted.
Painting Supplies
Phew!! We have moved, repaired, and cleaned our furniture piece. Now for the frosting. There are more paint products and opinions on paint products than I can begin to touch on. I LOVE the paint line I use. I literally auditioned for a reality show in order to earn the right to retail them in my area. I don't even watch TV & especially not reality competitions. That being said, there are many popular brands and you should use what you love. One bonus of using Pure Home Paints is the brush on top coat that is highly durable. My firm suggestion is that you should stay away from latex paints for furniture & choose a non toxic durable paint option. There are many non toxic paint manufactures. The first sign that there may be irritants in a product is the scent. A true non toxic product should not have an odor and won't irritate your eyes, nose or give you a headache.

That's a wrap! I just know this list will help you save time hunting for what you may need to get your projects done. Amazon is generally my go to because they ship quickly, make returns easy, and Amazon Prime makes that all even easier! Being a business, shopping on Amazon has great prices & the order history makes it easy to look back and see what you bought either for reorders. or reprinting receipts for tax time!
